When I was in Europe with my family, I would take pictures of every bike chained to a lightpost that I saw, because I'm weird like that. There were lots of bikes in Europe. O.o; |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. aww its a little blurry! Thats a shame, because other than that, this picture is perfect. My favorite thing about the picture is not how it contrasts different modes of transportation, but rather how it contrasts mostion with stillness. The world seems to be rushing by as the bike stays there, calm and motionless. The fact that it is an old looking bike really adds to that feeling. I get a sense that this photo conveys how evanescent our high tech gadgets and our high powered technology is, even if we don't know it. Don't know if that was intended at all, but its what I get from it. Great job, love it.

yeah, the blurriness bugs me too. It turned out that way because somehow my digital camera got set to ISO 50, and I didn't realize it until after I had taken the shot.
Actually, yeah, you hit pretty close to the mark, meaning-wise. I'm just bad with titles.
